Actuarial

Actuarial consultancy is about quantifying risk for companies using different scenarios, and working out how to mitigate it.

Our actuarial trainees work toward the FIA qualification, while taking on assignments across a range of different sectors. The work is challenging and varied and no two assignments are the same – business strategy, price modelling, profit testing, closed fund transfers, capital and financial modelling, valuations of liabilities and employee benefits and healthcare are just some of the areas you’ll be dealing with.

In real world terms, that may mean anything from advising a pensions company on its future liabilities, an insurance company that wants to know how much capital it requires or perhaps even a large corporation wanting to measure the impact of a leadership change.
