We recognise that you may want a different route into a career with us, one that bypasses university and takes you straight into work after school. If you’re eager to jump straight in then our school leaver programme is for you, giving you the chance to gain real work experience on a par with that of our graduate trainees, swap the burden of student loans for a competitive salary from the outset and work toward a professional qualification.

In place of a degree you’ll train to become a respected business adviser, get AAT, ATT or ACCA qualified, depending on the area you join. In all cases, you’ll get top-quality training, plus plenty of support, variety and responsibility at every stage. If you work hard and pass the exams you'll qualify in the first four years. And after that, all sorts of possibilities open up – including moving to other areas of Grant Thornton – in the UK and abroad.

Like our graduates, our school leavers are independent thinkers who look for opportunities, love challenges and believe what they do matters. To apply, you’ll need a real interest in business and a desire to make an impact – plus at least grade B GCSEs in English Language and Maths and a minimum of 300 UCAS points (or equivalent). And you don’t need to be a recent school leaver to join the programme – anyone who meets our minimum requirements is encouraged to apply.
